Exploring Southern Okinawa 4.5 Hr Tour
Tour Description
This four and a half hour tour introduces some of the sites of Nanjo City, located in the southern part Okinawa. We will first visit Nirai Kanai Bridge Observatory for a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Nanjo City. Then we will move to Sefa-Utaki, an indigenous Okinawan religious site, considered by many to be the most sacred spot on island. Next, we will travel to Tamagusuku Jo Castle Ruins to learn about ancient castle building practices in Okinawa. Finally, we will travel to Ojima Island for some Okinawan style tempura, which can be eaten at the Kakinohana Spring, considered one of the 100 best water areas in Japan by the Ministry of the Environment. Cost: 9,000 Yen per Person This fee covers: Pick up and drop off at the Shuri Monorail Station Transportation and all transportation related fees Your guided tour Additional Costs: 300 Yen/Person for Sefa-Utaki entrance fee Yen for purchasing Okinawan style tempura (each piece of tempura costs around 200 yen or less) Yen for any other souvenirs or other purchases Activity Level: This tour includes moderate physical activity. We will walk up stairs and on uneven walking surfaces. Some stops will include slightly longer distances at a leisurely pace (less than a mile) or extended periods of standing (up to an hour).
